Welcome to my French-inspired lifestyle blog, Living Frenchly!
Six years ago, I spent one glorious July in Paris. I completely fell head over heels in love. Not because Paris is perfect (I love her despite her flaws), but because she’s perfect for me. The stunning architecture, well-thought-out streets, nights at the ballet, dancing by the Seine, wine and people-watching at a café. To me, Paris has it all.
My thirst for knowledge about France, her language, and her culture have consumed me ever since. I had learned to appreciate the French way of life. Enjoying the little things and valuing quality over quantity. When I got home from my trip, I came up with the name for this blog and I’ve been daydreaming about it and working on ideas for it all this time. After years of devouring dozens of books about France, reading Le Monde, and taking college-level French classes, it was time to finally have my own little corner on the web to share and to discuss my love for all things French with my fellow Francophiles.
Living Frenchly doesn’t mean you have to live in France or copy everything the French do. It’s about bringing the little French touches to your days to enhance your life. From embracing your age to carefully adding that swipe of lipstick, taking the time to enjoy a meal away from your computer to surprising your family with a Bûche de Noël at Christmas. To be inspired and to enjoy every moment. I am so excited to be on this journey bringing joie de vivre to our lives and to be Living Frenchly.
