Alice in Paris on Tastemade

If you’re short on time, looking to be delighted, and get a taste of Paris, look no further than Alice in Paris. Produced by Tastemade, this short-form scripted series follows “Alice” on a series on gastronomic adventures in Paris.

Alice is an adorable, quirky Parisienne with “absolute taste” (an ability to distinguish every ingredient in a dish). She’s waited her entire adolescence to move to Paris from the country to live her dream life. In each episode, she usually has a dilemma that she solves as she visits restaurants, cafés, or enjoys one of the many treats Paris has to offer. As the viewer, you can take pleasure in the fun story, devour the beautiful scenery of Paris, and learn about some cool spots to check out and food to try on your next visit to the City of Light.

The short episodes are digestible if you don’t have a lot of time or you can watch a whole season in a sitting as an evening binge watch. I thought I knew Paris pretty well and this series unveils so many nooks and crannies in the city that I can’t wait to explore during my next trip there.

Catch Seasons 1 and 2 on Amazon Prime or YouTube. And a little birdie told me to expect to see Season 3 coming our way real soon!

Hope it brings a smile to your face and I’d love to know what you think of the show in the comments!

P.S. Paris Fashion Week starts TODAY! I’m going to do a recap later this week so be sure to come back to check it out. Also, the César Awards (the film awards of France) are Friday, 2/28/2020. Tune in live on the Canal + International channel or stop by the blog next week for my coverage.
