You may have spotted Veja sneakers scrolling through Instagram already. They’ve been seen on Emma Watson, Katie Holmes, and Meghan Markle just to name a few.

Founded by two Frenchmen, Sébastien Kopp and François-Ghislain Morillion, Veja strives to make eco-friendly shoes that are also stylish. After traveling the world doing research on sustainability for their consulting business, they saw a need for more environmentally-friendly footwear made by a company with a fair trade philosophy. They launched the Paris-based company in the early 2000s and now they are sold in the U.S.

Their most popular styles are often sold out. I have my eyes on this vegan pair and am waiting for them to come in in my size. I also found a variety of styles available here. I’ve heard that it can take a few wears to break them in and then they are SO comfortable.
